These terms cover the use of the website at airdriehousepainters.ca, operated by Airdrie House Painters. They are short, and they are mostly about making clear what the information on this site is and what it is not.

What this website is

It describes painting services we offer in Airdrie, Alberta and the surrounding communities, and it gives you ways to get in touch. Using it means you accept what is set out on this page.

Information here is general, not a quote

The service pages explain how we approach each kind of work, what preparation is involved and what factors change a price. That material is written to be genuinely useful, and it is still general information about painting rather than advice about your particular property.

We deliberately publish no prices, no square-foot rates and no durations on this site, because a figure given without seeing the work would be a guess. Nothing on these pages constitutes an offer, and nothing here obliges either of us to anything.

Quotes, and when something becomes binding

Submitting the form or calling us is a request for a quote. It commits you to nothing and it does not book any work.

A price becomes real only in a written quote we issue after visiting the property and seeing the actual surfaces. That written quote, and the scope described in it, is what governs the job. If we find something during preparation that was not visible at the quote stage — rot behind a board, a failed window unit, a wall that needs more repair than it looked like — we will tell you and price it separately before doing it, rather than adding it to an invoice.

Scheduling, particularly for exterior work, depends on weather that nobody controls. We will not paint outside in conditions that stop a coating curing properly, and a delay for that reason is not a failure to perform.

Accuracy, and the limits of it

We try to keep this site accurate and current, and we correct things when we find them wrong. We cannot promise it is free of errors or that it will be available without interruption, and technical details about products and methods may change as manufacturers change their specifications.

Where a page says something is a placeholder awaiting real information, take it at face value: it means we have not supplied that detail yet rather than that it has been overlooked.

Content on this site belongs to us

The text, photographs, layout and design are ours, and the writing in particular was produced specifically for this business and this city. You are welcome to read it, print it for your own use, and link to it. Reproducing it on another website — including a competing painting company’s — is not permitted.

If you would like to quote a section of it somewhere, ask us. The answer is usually yes with attribution.

Links to other sites

Where we link somewhere else, it is because we think it is useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they contain or how they handle your information.

Liability

We are responsible for the work we actually carry out, under the terms of the written quote and any warranty we have given you in writing.

We are not responsible for losses arising from decisions made purely on the strength of general information published on this website, without a site visit and a written quote. If you are about to spend money on the basis of something you read here, get us out to look at it first — that visit is free and it exists precisely so that nobody has to guess.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Alberta consumer protection legislation that cannot lawfully be limited.

Privacy

What happens to the information you send us is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada, and any dispute falls to the courts of Alberta.

Changes

We may update these terms, and the date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised version.
